Modern Scandinavian Kitchen

This Scotchtown renovation reimagined a closed-off kitchen into an open, family-ready space with a calm, Scandinavian sensibility. The clients wanted better flow, more functional storage, and a design that felt airy and modern while still grounding the first floor of their growing home.

To achieve that, our team removed two major walls and installed structural beams, reshaping the floor plan to connect the kitchen and dining room seamlessly. Every surface—walls, ceilings, even the subfloor—was reframed to create a clean slate before rebuilding the space with precision.

Custom white oak Shinnoki cabinetry, paired with minimalist hardware, brings warmth and clarity to the room. A new full-height window replaced an outdated bay, adding natural light and freeing up valuable storage and counter space. Natural herringbone tile underfoot anchors the palette, adding subtle texture without disrupting the quiet, elevated feel the clients wanted.

As with all Timber projects, we self-performed the work from design through completion: demolition, structural upgrades, custom kitchen fabrication, tile installation, and final finishing. The result is a bright, grounded kitchen—simple in appearance, sophisticated in craft, and built to evolve with the family who calls it home.

LET'S GET TO WORK!

We look forward to collaborating.
